Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Youth Programs

Rightful Policing Strategy Workshop:
The purpose of this workshop is to provide a unique opportunity for a “hands-on” learning and networking experience with Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office personnel. Students partner with personnel and go through an array of mock scenarios giving them a chance to experience what an officer goes through during an average shift. The workshop is limited to guests 13-17 years old.

Youth Cadets:
The goal of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office Cadet Corps is to expose interested high school students to the many functions of the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office (SSO), and to familiarize them with the realities of a career in law enforcement.
