Children First Classes

Children First Classes

Children First is a private, charitable, non-profit organization that serves over 900 of Sarasota County's most vulnerable children, birth to five years of age, and their families. Services are provided at 15 locations throughout Sarasota County.

Families First Institute:
The Families First Institute is an award winning, family-focused initiative aimed at strengthening our most economically vulnerable families, and offers several classes and workshops to our parents that focus on child development, parenting strategies, career and personal growth, and money management.

RISE:
Children and families who require additional support after graduating from Children First may be eligible for our RISE program. While enrolled in their elementary school, children receive one-on-one literacy support with a volunteer mentor from Kindergarten through fifth grade.

Special Needs:
Children First has a team of Special Needs Coordinators who provide support to every child with a diagnosed disability. Disabilities can include but are not limited to developmental delays, autism, or sensory processing disorder. Our Special Needs team works with children and their families to ensure every child receives the recommended services.
