The Early Learning Coalition’s FREE, family-friendly, literacy-meets-the-arts extravaganza is back in 2024!! For the first time ever, we’re thrilled to add a touch of science to our signature event. Designed for children ages birth to 7, Storybook Street delivers a unique blend of imagination, creativity and, this year, scientific discovery, all in one unforgettable experience. No registration required. Just show up with a smile! Children are welcome to dress up as their favorite storybook character. Storybook Street 2024 is set to dazzle with local arts and science vendors, each uniquely contributing to bringing books to life through dance, drama, music, movement, sensory play or interactive activities. Brought to you with preschool-level pomp and circumstance, picture your child’s excitement as a book-themed spectacle unfolds right in front of their eyes. Books are distributed at each vendor booth, tangible keepsakes of the magic they just witnessed.
Each family will have an opportunity to walk away with 20 new books, a swag bag of goodies as well as meaningful, memorable moments to help foster an early love of reading. To enjoy the full experience, families should plan to spend about an hour and a half at the event.
